I am looking for a Statistical Modeler to work for this leading biotech in a clinical trial setting. The individual will play a crucial part in the design, analysis, and implementation of innovative statistical methodologies for clinical trials, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to make data-driven decisions.
This role would be a great fit for someone with a strong academic background in statistics and significant experience in clinical trials, who is eager to work in a fast-paced, innovative company where statistical modeling and its application in clinical research are key drivers for decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborative Statistical Modeling: You’ll be working closely with the project team to identify statistical needs and apply advanced methodologies in complex clinical trial designs, including decision-making processes.
  2. Training and Mentorship: Developing and delivering training to fellow statisticians and non-statisticians in the organization on new and novel statistical approaches relevant to the industry.
  3. Regulatory and Guideline Adherence: Ensuring all statistical work aligns with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  4. Data Translation: Using your expertise to turn complex data into actionable evidence and decisions that guide the clinical development process.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: A doctorate (Ph.D.) in Statistics or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience in clinical trials and statistical methodologies, with a proven track record in drug development.
  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge in biostatistics and its application to clinical trials, with experience in at least one of the following:
  • Causal inference methods
  • Bayesian methods
  • Surrogate endpoints
  • Advanced multiple testing
  • Complex innovative designs
  • Longitudinal modeling
  • Missing data methods
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in R or SAS, with experience in computer simulations. Familiarity with R Shiny, EAST, and Stan is a plus. Desired Attributes:
    • Analytical Mindset: Ability to critically assess data and draw meaningful conclusions.
    • Clear Communication: Ability to explain complex statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Autonomous Worker: Capability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team.
