Director/Senior Director Medical Affairs Strategy - Europe

An award-winning, dynamic and rapidly growing entity within the global pharmaceutical landscape, known for their innovative approach to drug development, strong manufacturing capabilities, and strategic global partnerships. This innovative organisation are seeking a Medical Director to be entrusted with developing a differentiated Medical Affairs strategy tailored to the needs of the biosimilars environment for the European continent.

This role involves redefining how Medical Affairs approaches biosimilars, emphasizing the importance of familiarity and confidence in these products, which have been available for over a decade but still offer significant value. The Director will explore new opportunities by revisiting the therapeutic potential of biosimilars, understanding barriers to their adoption, and ensuring their role in sustainable healthcare systems. This forward-looking role requires a creative and open-minded approach, adapting to the diverse healthcare landscape in Europe, and delivering high-quality, engaging content to stakeholders. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Director will drive a groundbreaking strategy that reimagines the role of established biosimilar products in patient care.
 
🫵Requirements: 
  • PhD or MD with demonstrable scientific acumen, communicative skills, as well as strategic thinking and its translation into practical initiatives
  • Must have previous clinical practice experience, with a significant background in Medical Affairs
  • Familiarity with the governing legislation and working knowledge of the compliance requirements
  • A solid understanding of the European health care environment and its stakeholders
  • Ability to critically appraise research in the clinical sciences field, including a relevant understanding of customary study methodology and statistical techniques
  • Fluent in English
